Targus Australia has announced the launch of the Netbook Accessory Kit, designed to meet the everyday needs of growing netbook users. Netbooks now account for one in every 10 computers sold worldwide (Source: IDC's “Worldwide Quarterly PC Tracker” released on 11 June 2009) and the new computer accessories kit caters to this growing market by offering compact and practical mini-laptop accessories at an affordable prices.
The three-piece kit features a slipskin case, a USB optical mouse and a USB hub. The slipskin case has been designed to help protect netbooks from scratches and fits netbooks measuring up to 10.2 inches in size. The case is lightweight and can easily fit into briefcases, school bags and even handbags.
The new accessory set also features a portable USB mouse, that is compact in design and the retractable cord eliminates clutter. The plug-and-play feature ensures that it is easy to use without the need to install complicated drivers.
Netbook users will also appreciate the inclusion of a four port USB hub in the new accessory kit. The hub allows you to connect up to four additional peripherals to netbooks, including digital cameras, external DVD drives and USB storage.
Targus will also launch a Netbook Chill Mat in August 2009, which features two cooling fans to reduce overheating as well as assist the netbook to run more efficiently. Perfectly sized for netbooks, the chill mat doesn’t require an additional power source and plugs directly into the USB port.
Targus’ Netbook Accessory Kit will be stocked exclusively at JB Hi-Fi stores, while the Netbook Chill Mat will be stocked at most major retailers nationwide.
