Tadano Oceania has appointed Roger Cross to the position of WA/SA Sales Manager. Roger will operate from a permanent Tadano office in Maddington, Perth supporting Tadano customers throughout WA and SA.
Prior to the Tadano appointment, Roger Cross served as the sales manager for a competitive crane company, spending over 12 years in this position; he also has 26 years of experience in servicing the mining and construction industry. Roger Cross replaces Peter Lawgall who has left Tadano to pursue other career interests.
Roger Cross comments that market conditions have changed markedly through 2013, and there are challenges as well as opportunities.
The mining industry is entering a new phase with a slowdown in the rapid development of new mines. Where the past three years were reliant on construction and growth in the mining sector, the market conditions have now shifted to a maintenance phase.
According to Roger Cross, this is longer term work and the demand for cranes and lifting equipment is tailored to Tadano’s range of all terrain, rough terrain and truck cranes, making the company well positioned to take advantage of the new market conditions.
Since joining Tadano, Roger Cross has come to better appreciate the strength of the Tadano brand and the diverse range of cranes on offer, describing them as incredibly well engineered and reliable.
According to Peter Shelton, General Manager for Tadano Oceania, having Roger Cross on the Tadano team is a great coup as he brings unparalleled knowledge and experience that will be of significant benefit to Tadano customers.
Tadano has excellent technical and parts representation in Perth, with CTE well established as the authorised service agents in WA.
A world leader in the crane industry, Tadano offers all terrain cranes, truck cranes, rough terrain cranes and Tadano Mantis telescopic boom hydraulic crawler cranes.
