Goodline has taken delivery of a 130T all terrain crane and a rough terrain crane from Tadano Oceania Pty Ltd .
Tadano ATF130G-5, the all terrain crane was delivered to Goodline at their remote Port Hedland site. Goodline additionally took delivery of the popular GR-550EX Tadano rough terrain crane.
Goodline is a major construction and maintenance company providing services in steel fabrication, steel erection, demolition, scaffolding, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and civil works.
The company services some of the most remote areas in Australia. The largest Goodline operation is situated at Port Hedland, where company MD John Kennedy has about 400 employees on the books.
John Kennedy says that their clients are mostly plant and infrastructure facilities in remote locations, and include BHP, Rio Tinto, Fortescue Metals Group, Atlas and the Port Authority.
Adding the Tadano ATF130G-5 crane to the Goodline fleet was measured and well researched but involved a big leap from their biggest 55T crane in the existing Goodline fleet, to the new 130T all terrain unit.
Till then, Goodline was spending considerable sums of money each year in hiring larger cranes.
In addition to lifting capacity, John wanted reach in his new crane and confirmed that the Tadano ATF130G-5 could comfortably lift 20 tonnes to 18m radius.
Key features of the ATF 130G-5 all terrain cranes:
- Rated capacity of 130 tonnes
- 5-axle crane roadable at 12T per axle
- Full hydraulic suspension
- 85kph road speed
- 79% gradeability (based on tyre sizes)
- 6-section boom extends to 60m in about 380 seconds using the single cylinder telescoping system
- Lifts up to 20.6 tonnes at 18m radius and 1.0 tonnes at 76m radius, both through 360 degrees
- Jib extensions are available from 10m/18m to 32m in manual or hydraulic luffing versions
Tadano ATF130G-5 all terrain cranes are a perfect fit in the Tadano Global series of cranes, positioned between the ATF 110-tonne cranes and ATF 160-tonne capacity models.
John Kennedy says they already have a number of Tadano cranes in the Goodline fleet including the 55T, 50T and 20T models.
John Kennedy also appreciates the service support he receives from Tadano Oceania for his fleet.
Tadano Oceania has appointed CTE in Perth as Tadano’s authorised service and parts agent.
In addition to the 130T all terrain crane, Goodline has taken delivery of a Tadano GR550-EX rough terrain crane for a medium term contract at Christmas Creek, working on the FMG expansion project.
Tadano is a world leader in the crane industry with a product range that includes all terrain cranes, truck cranes, rough terrain cranes as well as Tadano Mantis telescopic boom hydraulic crawler cranes.
