Extech's new 380820 Universal AC Power Source and AC Power Analysers are used for testing the energy consumption and efficiency in a wide range of commercial and domestic products from 85 to 250VAC at 45 to 65Hz.
As focus increases on the efficient use of energy it has become important to monitor the power consumption of appliances even when they are in standby mode.
The Extech 380320 Universal AC Power Source and AC Power Analysers are designed for measuring power consumption via either front or rear panel connections. The rear panel connection can measure up to 2000W. Whilst the front panel connection is ideal for measuring standby power from 10mW to 100W. This is very useful for desktop and notebook PCs, LCD TVs, AC adaptor/chargers, and any other products that continue to use power when connected to AC, even though they are not in use or in standby mode.
Included is a Power Quality Measurement function that can monitor Watts, Power Factor, Voltage, Current and Harmonics. The Cost Function Calculation mode is also very useful for finding a product’s cost per day, month or year.
Connection to a PC for direct data logging in real time is provided for via a RS232 interface and data can be exported and saved in a spreadsheet format for later analysis.
Extech's new 380820 Universal AC Power Source and AC Power Analysers are now available from TRIO Test & Measurement.
