TNA’s roflo offers gateless distribution and accumulation system

TNA , a leading supplier of turn-key integrated packaging and processing solutions for food production companies worldwide, offers the food industry roflo, a gateless distribution and accumulation system that handles product with the utmost care.

TNA’s advanced technology and software allows roflo the ability to have a totally gateless system, resulting in dramatic reductions in product damage, flavour loss, and maintenance and cleaning time. As product moves along the roflo distribution system it passes through the gateless feeders which minimize damage to product and flavour loss.

The TNA roflo’s unique servo-driven system operates in a smooth operator motion which leads to less product damage and flavour loss. Simple mechanics provide precise control over handling a wide product range, dependent on the product’s coefficient of friction, and can be fully configured to meet the needs of a wide variety of food applications.

The undemanding and ‘sophisticated-simplicity’ nature of roflo results in high reliability and long life. With fewer parts to wear out or break, the TNA roflo offers a major reduction in maintenance and cleaning time.

The roflo makes it possible to use single pan lengths of over 100m with a master drive and any number of slave drives. This reduces maintenance issues and reduces breakage and wastage by eliminating unnecessary transfer points.

Product agitation is eliminated as linear motion and low force results in the product moving as a single entity never leaving the pan surface. When using the TNA roflo, all product is swept along the pan, which leaves little residue and allows for easy cleaning. Low noise levels, low pan wear, and minimized power usage are just a few more features that set the TNA roflo apart from all others in the industry.

Total motion control allows roflo to be used as a distribution or an accumulation system. roflo distribution systems can be programmed for control of forward velocity, return velocity, acceleration, deceleration, and variable length of stroke up to 200mm (8 inches) to provide optimum flow of product.

The movement speed and direction of the product can be varied at will on line and at high frequency, while speeds can be controlled with almost instantaneous response to control signals. TNA’s roflo includes product level sensors that control mass flow to store product due to a temporary decrease in packaging capacity.

While it can be integrated with nearly any packaging system, the roflo is specifically designed to seamlessly integrate with TNA’s robag, which leads the industry in vertical form, fill, and seal (VFFS) baggers.

TNA, celebrating its 25th anniversary in business this year, has set the benchmark in the industry for vertical form, fill and seal (VFFS) packaging systems, creating highly efficient machines, using less parts with a simple design to increase maximum output and flexibility.

Today, TNA provides a complete line of products from its well known robag VFFS Baggers; roflo Product Distribution & Accumulation Equipment; Seasoning Systems; Multihead Scales; Checkweighers; Date Coders; Metal Detectors, Case Packers; Palletisers; and Complete Processing Equipment.

TNA core products offer a range of robag stand-alone and turn-key systems that are renowned in the industry for bagging speed capabilities, efficiency and overall performance. The robag VFFS system has experienced much success in the snack, confectionery, biscuit, cereal, pasta, powder and fresh produce markets, and can form pillow, block bottom, quattro, string and canoe bags. TNA remains committed to both its customers and the industry, and strives to provide the highest-quality systems and services available.

TNA is the leading supplier of turn-key, integrated packaging and processing solutions for food production companies worldwide, with an installed base of more than 2000 systems globally. TNA’s unique combination of innovative technology, extensive project management experience and 24/7 global support ensures customers achieve faster, more reliable and more flexible packaged food products at lower costs and with less wastage.
