TNA Australia has released the Robag 3, a packaging machine that can handle fresh salad leaves.
It is capable of packing up to 220 bags a minute, with efficiency of over 95% and a reject rate of less than 0.5%. Films, formers, jaws, knives, and drive belts can each be changed in 60 seconds. Machine specifications can be pre-programmed and automated, saving time spent on set-up and product changeovers. A swing-out former mechanism gives greater clearance around the film and the option of a secondary film spindle. Film and bag format changes can be performed with minimum disruption.
The Robag 3 is available with a range of jaw mechanisms. It can produce bags from 40mm to 420mm wide at virtually any length. OPP, laminates, and COEX HDPE film types can all be catered for. Options include block bottom, quattro pack, string, sachet, and multi-packs. It can still pack the more common pillow pack formats. Promotional strip units, labelers, and inserters can be added.
