Australian materials handling firm, TC Hasemer , have announced that they have acquired the Melbourne company, Redfern-Flinn.
According to TC Hasemer, the acquisition of the Victorian based crane and hoisting equipment company is a part of a long-term growth strategy.
TC Hasemer observe that the purchase of Redfern-Flinn will allow them to gain a direct foothold in Melbourne, which is a major market for the crane and hoist business.
Redfern-Flinn have a 30-year history of providing crane and hoist sales or service. Redfern-Flinn feature an extensive product range and draw their client base from a variety of industries across Australia.
The Redfern-Flinn business is an addition to the Sydney based TC Hasemer operation. Redfern-Flinn are involved in the design, supply and servicing of cranes and hoists. TC Hasemer and Redfern-Flinn will be able to leverage their capabilities and customers to accelerate growth both locally and nationally.
According to TC Hasemer, TC Hasemer and Redfern-Flinn will also be able to strengthen their offerings to customers. The acquisition will allow TC Hasemer to increase their product depth and breadth to give customers higher choices. Rail jacks will be among the new product lines, which are used to lift trains and trams, as well as vehicle hoists, which are used to raise buses and cars.
TC Hasemer and Redfern-Flinn will maintain their identities but intend to amalgamate their crane fabrication facilities to create a centre of excellence in Melbourne that will service the national marketplace.
TC Hasemer observe that the amalgamation of the two companies’ crane fabrication facilities will allow them to establish an efficient manufacturing process, enabling them to better meet the needs of their customers.
TC Hasemer also intend to invest in training, and to retain and develop the knowledge they have in designing purpose-built cranes and other lifting equipment.
