TK Spiral Bevel Gearboxes, designed for transmission of rotary motion and power between 90 degree angle shafts, are manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel. The electro polished surface is ideal for food and pharmaceutical industries. The advantages of spiral teeth over straight teeth are they are quieter and are subjected to less stress at high speeds as the teeth engage gradually across the whole tooth causing less abrupt transfer of force. The impact stress and noise on straight teeth make them unsuitable for heavy loads at high speeds. This range is available in 3 different sizes, shafts from 9mm to 20mm capable of input power up to 5.5kW and speed of 1400rpm. Available in ratio’s 1:1 and 2:1. For those users whose application criteria cannot be met using the above stainless steel spiral bevel gearboxes can opt for individual straight bevel gears in stainless steel, steel or plastic.
