SYKES’ new Safeway trailer mounted sign, the SOLINGO 2400 uses LED Pixel technology for intense character and image illumination.
The display is highly visible in daylight, dawn, dusk and dark, in all weather conditions and from straight or angled approaches.
The signs have full matrix capability to display multiple character sizes, arrows, high definition graphics, symbols and international fonts. The controller holds 40 pre-programmed messages and 88 user-defined messages.
The SOLINGO 2400 VMS is compact and user friendly. It is designed for quick setup in any work area, large or small to provide drivers with real time information that can help reduce work zone hazards for both work crews and the general public.
The SOLINGO 2400 sign offers trouble-free operation and extremely low maintenance. Its extruded aluminium cabinet is both durable and weather-resistant. Its integrated system and modular design provides quick access and simple change-out in the event of a repair.
The SOLINGO 2400 Variable Message Sign is based upon the existing smaller SOLINGO software and control gear hardware, providing interchange ability of components between the models.
There has been considerable development in the module design for the SOLINGO 2400 unit to facilitate the increased display size.
Sykes’ 112 x 64 pixel display on both the SOLINGO 1800 and new SOLINGO 2400 units allows for complex text and graphic messaging, with multilingual capability as standard.
Each pixel uses two LEDs and the sign uses 14,336 LEDs in total, giving it excellent legibility and conspicuity at night and in direct sunlight.
