2007 raced off to a pumping start with the Sykes New Zealand team fulfilling the pump requirements of the contracting and mining industry across French Polynesia.

Intermat Tahiti, one of the large machinery suppliers have placed orders for a range of Sykes custom built pumps as well as a number of Grindex submersible pumps.

The new pumps will provide Intermat with a fleet of quality and reliable pumps for sale or rental which offer fuel efficiencies, solids handling abilities and flows and heads that can not be matched or beaten in the region.

The custom built pump CP150i is powered by a Cumming 3.3T engine providing flows exceeding 140 litres per second and a shut head at 50m.

The specification of the pump was designed to suit the hot and at times harsh conditions of the environment the pumps will be subjected to.

The additional feature of a drop discharge ensures the orientation of the discharge hose can suit each new application.
