Sykes Group recently supplied a mine in Central Queensland with the HH220i pump to use in an area that was inaccessible in wet weather and can also flood but must be reliable.
A proposal was put up to the mine to use the HH220i, but pontoon mount it on dry land, with the fuel being supplied from a tank located on the high wall that is accessible in all weather.
The pump is also fitted with automatic stop/start with a float switch hanging down from the boom. This controls the water level in the dam during dry and wet weather.
The benefit is that if the area were to flood, the pump can float, keep pumping and be refueled from the high wall.
The HH220i with its oil lube bearings and mechanical seal can run with no servicing required for long periods of time.
