A thermal imaging camera is used to detect excess heat radiating from electrical circuit breakers, fuses, fuseholders or other components, and a coloured image is produced, which shows hotspots.

A programme of regular thermography can decrease maintenance costs, decrease equipment failures, increase productivity and safety, and allow for targeted programmed maintenance, rather than reactive maintenance.

Test and tag is a programme designed to help managers to minimise electrical hazards in the workplace, to protect staff from injury by electric shock or electrical fire, and to protect management from liability.
