5.5" diagonal passive matrix OLED

Switches Plus Components have announced the new 5.5" diagonal passive matrix OLED. OSD Displays is releasing a 5.5" diagonal 256 x 64-pixel passive matrix monochrome grayscale green OLED. This is one of the largest passive OLED displays on the market and it supports up to 16 levels of grayscale.

The display features the Solomon Systech driver IC that supports 8-bit 6800/8080 Parallel or 3-/4-wire SPI data interface. Overall panel size is 146mm (H) x 45.0mm (V) x1.6mm (D). Viewing area is 135.65mm (H) x 33.89mm (V).

The OSD Displays OLED panel offers good brightness (120cd/m2 typical), superb temperature independent response time (<10us), exceptional viewing angle (>160 degrees) and high contrast ratio (>2000:1). All these benefits are realised over a wide temperature range from -30°C to +70°C with less than 500mW typical power consumption.
