For the fifth year in a row, Swire Cold Storage’s SA distribution and transport business Cold Chain Logistics (CCL) supported the annual Novita Children’s Services Convoy for Kids 2006, held on the 28th of May.
Entering into its fourteenth year, the charity event seeks to give disabled children in SA a fantastic day out, and this year was no different. The convoy winded its way through the heart of Adelaide before returning to the Distinctive Homes Dome at Findon, where free entertainment, food and celebrities waited to greet the 500 or more excited children fresh from riding in the big trucks.
CCL provided a refrigerated van with Transport Operations employee Ray Poulish volunteering his time to deliver BBQ and food supplies donated by Coles Myer from the SCS Mile End DC to feed the thousands of visitors who flocked to the event. Once his job was done, Ray stayed on to help out wherever he could, earning some well deserved praise in the process.
