THE new Swagelok DRP series ultra-high purity fluoropolymer diaphragm valve, available from Fluid Systems Technologies , is designed for use in many applications including aggressive CMP slurry, acid, chemical, and ultra-high purity DI water delivery systems.
All wetted parts are made from DuPont Teflon NXT 75 modified PTFE. The design of the valve helps minimise entrapment areas and enhances diaphragm performance.
A hemispherical valve cavity and unique diaphragm shape enable rapid and thorough cleaning of all wetted surfaces. The shape of the modified PTPE diaphragm is optimised to minimise stress during cycling and to promote durability, seal integrity, and long cycle life.
In addition, the web thickness of the diaphragm has been maximised to reduce the potential for acid permeation.
DRP series valves are available with polypropylene pneumatic or quarter-turn manual actuators and 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 1, and 1-1/4 inch fine thread flared end connections. DRP technology is also available in customised manifold configurations.
