Sutton Tools  is the Australian agent for the Tapmatic range. Specialising in tapping for over 55 years, manufacturers around the world use Tapmatic products for their most difficult tapping problems for cost saving solutions that cut cycle time, eliminate additional set ups, increase production, reduce energy consumption, reduce machine wear and downtime, increase tap life by 100% or more and improve thread quality.

Tapmatic offers the most comprehensive tapping programme available from manually operated machines to the most sophisticated CNC machining centres.

Tapmatic’s new technology, the RCT- Reduced Cycle Time Tapping for high production CNC tapping is the solution to long-standing production tapping problems.

Customers report cycle times can be cut in half, tap life doubled, reduced machine spindle wear by eliminating two machine reversals per tapped hole and energy consumption reduced by 75%.

New features include a low impact cushioned drive (patent pending) for higher speeds; an ideal non-reversing coolant system (patent pending) for higher internal coolant pressure; coolant expellers prevent coolant build-up in tool under all conditions and exchangeable ER collet chuck adapters for tap grip and concentricity.

The patented Tapmatic SynchroFlex for rigid tapping increases tap life by 100% or more by compensating both axially and radially for the minute, unavoidable discrepancies between the machine’s synchronised feed rate and the exact thread pitch, that occur on even today’s most accurate CNC machines.

The all new Rx model for manually operated machines delivers higher production rates, the most accurate depth control, consistent trouble free performance and includes several new user friendly features.
