Sushi Machines
Sushi Machines

Sushi Machines  has helped many new sushi businesses start from scratch. Some clients have limited budget, some have limited knowledge but it is always a challenge when clients have special needs. On such example is when a client, Sum Sushi, from the regional town of Kempsey, needed to work from a wheelchair.

Jo Wheeler, the owner of Sum Sushi is not able to stand on her feet for too long due to back injuries but that did not stop her from wanting to do the sushi business. She engaged Melvin Wee, MD of Sushi Machines as her Consultant to assist in the set up of her new sushi production kitchen.

There were many emails communication regarding ingredients to production methods right to the Opening Day and Jo was very pleased with all the assistance provided. She even said to Melvin, ”My nickname for you is wise one.”

Jo paid a visit to Melvin in Perth and a study trip to Autec manufacturing plant in Japan to have a good overview about the sushi business.  Just before opening, Sushi Machines attended to the installation, commissioning and operational training bearing in mind that special consideration is required.

Overall, it was a very rewarding experience for both Sushi Machines and their client, Sum Sushi. Without a doubt, Jo has become life long friends with Melvin and will benefit from business coaching to improve her sales.
