Sushi Machines Australia has recently completed a full system of sushi machines installation, commissioning and training for Youki’s Japanese Takeaway in Phillip’s Island.
Youki is the name of Peter and Sayuri’s son and Youki’s Japanese Takeaway is well known in Phillips as being the only true blue Japanese sushi shop on the island (their Chef, Shin-san is a qualified Sushi Chef and a Certified Fugu Chef).
MD of Sushi Machines Australia, Melvin Wee, was very pleased with the installation because the customers are ‘now our good friends…we stayed at their house and enjoyed their company’.
Sayuri and Shin-san are good students. They learned how to operate, dis-assemble, clean and re-assemble all the machines within 3 hours.
The sushi machines include the Autec ASM860 Maki Robot, the latest Top of the range model which has just been introduced this year, Autec ASM720, Bench top sushi rice and vinegar mixer and cooler, a must-have for consistent and good quality sushi rice, an Autec ASM340L, small Nigiri sushi rice ball maker and the Autec ASM200, a simple but efficient Maki (Sushi Rolls) cutter.
On completion of the installation and training, Shin-san, the sushi Chef was impressed. He commented “Now I can come into the shop later and know that the quality and consistency will always be there”.
Youki, the son, who has Cerebral Palsy, was also excited to try the Maki Cutter and was keen to get into the shop the next day after the installation.
Youki’s Japanese Takeaway has big dreams and has consulted with Sushi Machines Australia on many key issues relating to expanding the sushi retail and wholesale business.
With the experience of running both retail and wholesale sushi business, through JAS Sushi, Sushi Machines Australia was able to give useful pointers to Youki’s without any consultancy fees as ‘we are now friends’, say Melvin.
