Running from the 2nd and the 3rd of August at the Sofitel Hotel, Brisbane the 8th Annual Supply Chain & Logistics Conference has a comprehensive and dynamic program that includes presentations from distinguished Australian and overseas speakers.

The keynote speakers will include Peter Dapiran, senior fellow in the Freight and Logistics Group, University of Melbourne, Chris Weeks, disaster resource network director, Europe & Middle East, Mark Skipper, managing director, Red Prairie, Steffen Steensvaek, Maersk Logistics Australia, Peter Allen, state manager, Visy Board and Nigel Jones, general manager – Supply Chain Strategy & Procurement, Fonterra.

Due to the success of the 2006 event the 2007 Supply Chain & Logistics Conference will have the Industry Round Table and Executive Forum as an addition to the conference.

The Supply Chain & Logistics Conference is organised by leading industry associations such as the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia, (SCLAA) the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP), QUT School of International Business, CIPS Australia, the Australasian Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) and the South East Queensland Procurement Network group.

Building on its already successful reputation, the 2007 Supply Chain & Logistics Conference is a highly referred international Supply Chain & Logistics conference for Queensland and will engage industry, government and academic researchers and teachers in an exploration of trends and opportunities for the industry.

In addition to the business program, the social program is designed to provide the opportunity for companies to renew existing friendships, develop additional contacts and reinforce their position within the industry.

The Supply Chain & Logistics Conference will attract approximately 400 delegates from all over Australia and internationally through the newly extended program. A major proportion of the delegates will be key decision-makers, capable of influencing debate and decision.

Delegates will include chief executive officers, senior executives and management that are involved at all levels of procurement, manufacturing and materials management, and the people responsible for contracting, outsourcing, warehousing and logistics and other supply chain activities in the private enterprise, government (state and local) or public sector business enterprises.

The 2007 Exhibitors and Partners to date include SDS, Procurenet, Haymans, Hagemeyer, Logistics Recruitment, Sunshine Technologies, Konica Australia, Maersk Logistics, Trades & Labour Hire, Gamma Solutions, Corporate Express, XChanging and Mobile Data Solutions.

Media Partners include MHD, Procurement Professional and Australasian Freight Logistics. MHD will be sponsoring the Executive Lounge, which brings together key industry players to discuss issues of the industry in a relaxed panel discussion.
