Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) has announced that Kim Winter, Group managing director, Logistics Recruitment and Rob O’Byrne, managing Director, Logistics Bureau have confirmed that they will be presenting papers at the Sydney Supply Chain Conference which will be held at Matex 2008 on the 15th and 16th of April.
Kim Winter will be presenting a paper entitled competing for supply chain talent in a high demand low supply market.
Kim will focus on success strategies for talent retention and attraction war - featuring case studies from Australian and international supply chain companies.
Rob O'Byrne, will speak to a paper entitled balancing the cost & service trade offs within your supply chain, sometimes the levers deliver unexpected results!
According to Rob O’Byrne, supply chains are continually evolving and taking on new dimensions and supply chain executives in delivering the service requirements of the business, must now balance aspects such as increased levels of import, mergers and acquisitions, expanding product ranges, high levels of promotion along with all the day to day issues of inventory deployment and containing operating costs.
Rob O'Byrne will take an end to end view of the supply chains of today and using case study examples illustrate how the various activities within a business can sometimes compete, negatively impacting the cost and service balancing act.
Delegates will leave this presentation with some handy health check tips to apply to their own supply chains that will have immediate bottom line impact.
