Newcomers to the supply chain, logistics and transport industry will be able to take advantage of a new industry initiative. A cutting-edge self development workshop, tailor made for the industry has been created by the Australian Institute of Management, in association with the Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) Queensland Division, Future Leader’s Group.
The first session is due to be held on Thursday the 20th of October at the Australian Institute of Management and SCLAA members and non-members are invited to attend. The half-day personal development course has been sponsored by the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
The development workshop is aimed at those, in the supply chain, logistics and transport industry, who are starting out in the industry or are under the age of 35. Participants will focus on developing effective networking skills and on ensuring that their unique ‘YOU’ brand is reaching its full potential.
The personal development course takes the form of an interactive workshop, where participants will partake in activities to explore concepts such as how to understand themselves and what they have to offer, planning an approach to networking and maintaining and building a personal ‘YOU’ brand. The workshop will also consider the scope and power of networking in the supply chain, logistics and transport industry and beyond, as well as helping to develop tools to build relationships with.
Young people in the supply chain, logistics and transport industry who want to develop their potential are invited to register for the unique industry development course. Team leaders and mentors are encouraged to take advantage of this is great development tool for less experienced team members.
The development workshop, which will be facilitated by Jacqui Perkins, of the Australian Institute of Management, culminates with snacks and refreshments, providing a perfect opportunity for new networking skills to be put into practice. All participants will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the workshop.
