The breakfast launch of the ACT & Southern NSW Division of the Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) was held recently at the National Press Club, Canberra.
Over 140 people from the ACT region as well as numerous guests from around Australia attended the event.
The newly appointed Division Chairwoman, PJ Gould said that a variety of industries were represented at the launch including Federal and ACT Governments, senior representatives from Defence, IT and financial industries, the ACT Region Chamber of Commerce as well as various ACT-based organisations.
Ms Gould said that the Capital Region was mature enough to not have to go to Sydney for professional development, training and networking opportunities within the Supply Chain and Logistics profession.
She added that the ACT & Southern NSW Division is receiving excellent support across a wide section of the community.
The launch was a great success, with all presenters being extremely well received including Air Vice-Marshal Margaret Staib, AM, CSC, Commander Joint Logistics who discussed Defence Joint Logistics capabilities and future direction.
