Light and compact
The long-necked UKC 3-R angle grinder is a special tool that can be used for fillet weld grinding applications. This tool was developed specifically for metal finishing and is fitted with reduction gears for extreme power delivery. At the same time its lightweight structure and long neck of aluminium give it a light weight of 1.8kg and easy manoeuvrability. The extremely low angled head also enhances the grinder's application ability.
Power and long life
The driving force is provided by the tried and tested Suhner 500 W motor with a speed range of 1400–3300 rpm. The two-stage reduction gears provide the tool with high spindle torque perfect for modern high-performance abrasives.
Safe and ergonomic
Also in matters of user safety the fillet weld grinder provides that something special. The ergonomic design minimises work fatigue. With its double insulation the motor structure corresponds to class 2 protection. Restart lock after power failure, gentle startup, and electronic speed retention enhance safety just as the undervoltage and overload protection.
All properties of the tool support grinding and polishing applications with high-density 150 mm nonwoven wheels. These are capabale of finishing the weld to a high degree in one step.
They are available in five different variants with widths of 3 and 6 mm, from hard for high material removal to extra soft for finishing. The standard mounting flange makes wheel changes fast and easy.
