Stratasys Asia Pacific has just opened a 3D Printing Experience Centre in Singapore to support to users in South Asia and Pacific region.

The Centre features Stratasys’ 3D printing technologies – PolyJet and Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), showcasing the product portfolio ranging from desktop 3D printers to large, advanced 3D production systems.

The Centre will enable designers and engineers to create models and prototypes for new product design and testing and to build finished goods in low volume.

The Centre also exhibits Stratasys’ specially engineered 3D printing materials - PolyJet photopolymers and FDM thermoplastics.

“The 3D Printing Experience Centre reflects our confidence in the South Asia & Pacific region,” commented Ido Eylon, General Manager, South Asia, at Stratasys AP.

“Establishing a demo centre locally allows our customers to see our innovative technologies in action and realise the values and advantages of 3D printing technology. This is well aligned with our corporate vision to make 3D printing more accessible and to help customers revolutionise their product design and manufacturing processes.”

Globally, additive manufacturing/3D printing grew by more than a third in 2013 and the AsiaPac region has displayed the most rapid increase in demand for any in the world. “I am not surprised at all that it grew, and I’m not surprised that it grew significantly,” Eylon told Manufacturers' Monthly earlier this year.
