Stirlings introduces range of Grade 2205 duplex stainless steel


Stirlings Australia now stocks an extended range of Grade 2205 duplex stainless steel in plate in varying sizes from 3mm to 50mm, Grade 2205 (UNS31803) stainless steel duplex welded pipe in Schedule 10 from 50NB to 300NB and seamless fittings (Grade 2205) 90 degree elbows in SCH10 in various nominal bores from 50N.B. to 200 N.B, Grade 2205 annealed tube in various sizes.

2205 is one of the widely used duplex stainless steel grades because of its high corrosion resistance and high strength.

Typical applications include:

§ Chemical processing, transport and storage

§ Oil and gas exploration and processing equipment

§ Marine and other high chloride environments

§ Pulp and paper digesters, liquor tanks and paper machines
