The integration of the Cinterion EU3-P WCDMA modem within the Trimble TM3000 asset tracking device has been completed by Step Global , agents for Trimble Navigation Component Technologies Group.

The TM3000 is a high performance GPS tracking and data acquisition device providing extensive capability from simple track and trace to fully integrated Fleet Management Black Box functionality. Now, with the addition of 3G capabilities, these asset tracking systems the ability to operate in areas where only 3G coverage is available as well as provide significantly higher data rates.

The TM3000 is an open and flexible platform that supports the design of application specific GPS tracking solutions. It makes a very appealing Fleet Management Black Box with standard features such as:

  • Over-The-Air programming
  • Quad Band GPRS or Tri Band UMTS
  • Highly Configurable Inputs and Outputs of 4 digital inputs/outputs, 4 analog inputs and 2 RS232 Serial ports
  • A GPS engine providing position accuracy of 2m, hot acquisition time of 2sec, tracking sensitivity to 160 dBm and 66 searching and 22 tracking channels
  • 3 axis accelerometer can be configured for full directional G force indication
  • Power supply input range from 9 to 32 Volts
  • High Temperature, automotive grade plastic to IP54 standard (optional IP67)
  • Operating Temperature -40 to +85 deg C
  • Configurable multiple speed alerts
