The Copernicus module is a complete 12-channel GPS receiver in a 19 millimetre x 19 millimetre x 2.54 millimetre, thumbnail-sized shielded unit. The small, thin, single-sided Copernicus module is packaged in tape and reel for pick-and- place manufacturing processes, 28 reflow-solderable edge castellation that provide interface to clients design without costly I/O and RF connectors. Each Copernicus module is manufactured as well as factory tested to Trimble’s highest quality standards.
The Copernicus model is compatible with active or passive antennas. The Copernicus GPS receiver is also perfect for portable handheld, battery-powered applications. The receiver’s small size and low power requirement in Copernicus model make it ideal for use in sport accessories, Bluetooth appliances, personal navigators or cameras and computer and communication peripherals, as well as navigation, vehicle tracking and security applications.
