Stainelec Hydraulic Equipment
introduces the Kamekura DW-404 electric hydraulic threaded rod cutters.
The new Kamekura DW 404 threaded rod cutters allow operators to easily cut threaded rods without damaging the thread after completing the cut. Weighing just 4.8kg, the electric powered threaded rod cutter offers portable operation, making it suitable for factory and on-site environments.
Capable of cutting M8, M10 and M12 stainless steel threaded rods, Kamekura DW 404 threaded rod cutters deliver a hydraulic output pressure of 700 bar with a double insulated 460 watt 230 volt motor. The hydraulic operation helps achieve a clean cut on both sides of the rod in three seconds, enabling nuts to be screwed on either side with ease.
The DW 404 electric threaded rod cutters are extremely reliable, powerful and easy to use, offering the ability to also cut M8, M10 and M12 mild steel rods along with stainless steel hooker rods. A locking pin system enables the user to switch and change the cutting dies in a matter of seconds.
DW-404 is manufactured in Japan by Kamekura Seiki, manufacturers of precision made hydraulic equipment.
Stainelec recently supplied two units of Kamekura DW 404 threaded rod cutters to John Holland Constructions for the Brisbane Airport Tunnel Link project to cut 12mm stainless steel threaded rods.
