Spraying Systems Co supplies AWS series self cleaning automatic strainers, which provide fine filter protection to ensure optimal spray system performance.
Automatic flushing is triggered at a preset pressure drop trip point of 7 psi or at a preset time, with a flush cycle of 14 to 40 seconds.
These automatic strainers use less than 1% of water flow for cleaning, ensuring that the downstream water supply is not interrupted, and feature a large screen filter area of 1503 to 6000 centimetres squared.
Capable of flow rates up to 1760 gpm, these strainers can operate at a maximum working temperature of 60ºC, with a filtration range of 20 to 600 mesh.
Steel construction with NSF approved epoxy coated internals ensures continued performance with 220/380/440V, three phase, 50/60Hz voltage requirements.
An effective filtering process allows for the use of poor quality and minimises the risk of nozzle clogging on these automatic strainers, which are suitable for a range of applications including:
- makeup water in steel production
- tank washing
- cooling towers
- pasteurisation
- process water; and
- intake water.
