Spitwater Australia has been manufacturing in Albury, Southern NSW, since 1982. As a leader in the industrial equipment market, Spitwater Australia currently designs and manufactures three product lines.
These include a complete range of commercial and industrial high pressure water cleaners under the ‘Spitwater’ brand as well as a full range of LPG and diesel/kerosene industrial space heaters under the ‘Jetfire’ and ‘Spitfire’ brands.
The idea of building products from the ground up is something that has always been actively fostered by the company. At a time when many organisations are moving offshore, outsourcing or simply importing the finished product, Spitwater Australia has consciously brought many production processes in-house, ensuring a truly Australian made product.
The advantages of this approach have been significant for Spitwater and the company is a very agile and independent manufacturer as a result. Spitwater is able to design and manufacture high pressure water cleaners exactly the way they feel will best satisfy customers’ requirements. The popularity of Spitwater’s high pressure water cleaners in the local and international market is proof that manufacturing in Australia can be successful.
Spitwater’s experienced trades people form, roll, bend, cut and weld all the steel tube and sheet used in the manufacture of their high pressure cleaners and heaters. Items such as covers, bases, roll frames, handles, chasses, coils and combustion chambers are all manufactured and finished at the Albury plant.
All components not produced in-house, such as piston pumps, electric motors and petrol engines are sourced from well known companies recognised for their stringent quality control and superior reliability.
Spitwater Australia’s approach to manufacturing high pressure water cleaners has rewarded the company with constant growth. The domestic Australian market is looked after by factory backed distribution and service centres in the major capital cities and there is an extensive dealer network Australia wide. Internationally Spitwater is building on an impressive 27 years of strong demand and currently exports to 20 countries on 4 continents.
