A spill of 177 litres of latex that entered Stoney Creek in Yarraville has cost a Victorian company over $52,000 after they pleaded guilty to one charge of causing an environmental hazard.
An investigation by EPA traced the spill, via the stormwater drainage system, to the manufacturing premises in Geelong Road, West Footscray. The premises also had inadequate spill prevention and a lack of stormwater isolation devices.
