'SPEED HUMP' style drive-over bunds can often lead to liquid spills but Spill Station has developed a new bund wall that makes smooth transitions.
The drive-over bunds and a range of neutralising absorbents will be highlights of Spill Station's stand at The Safety Show, Sydney, from October 26-28.
The bunds, made from open cell foam encased in high frequency welded PVC, collapse to just 3mm or 4mm under the weight of vehicles and forklifts and spring back to shape after the vehicle passes. This avoids the jolt and possible spills associated with crossing speed hump bunds, according to Spill Station.
While the drive-over bunds are easily compressed, Spill Station says they are so tough that, used in normal circumstances, it will last for years.
The Australian-made triangle-profile DIY bund kits come complete with sealant, adhesive, masonry anchors, reinforcing strips and full step-by-step instructions.
Spill Station will also showcase a new range of neutralising absorbents to mop up spills of hazardous chemicals at The Safety Show. The new products make clean-ups a single step process, as just one application neutralises the substances and absorbs them for easy removal. The three benefits, Spill Station says, are convenience, enhanced safety and speed.
Visitors can view these new products at Spill Station Australia’s stand C18 at The Safety Show, Sydney. Absorbents can be tested and the company's comprehensive range of spill management options will be available for viewing.
The Safety Show runs from October 26-28, at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.
