RECENT heavy rain along the east coast has highlighted a potential problem for the unwary spill pallet user.

Spill pallets that are stored outside can fill with rainwater and render them unsuitable for containing any spill, leak, or overflow.

When a spill does occur, the pallet can overflow and contaminate the surrounding area, even entering stormwater drains or groundwater.

A new range of spill pallet covers is now available from Spill Station Australia to suit 4-drum, 4-drum hitop, 2-drum, and 4-drum in-line pallets.

The covers are constructed from a heavy-duty, UV-stabilised PVC material and all seams are high frequency welded to prevent the ingress of rainwater or other contaminants.

The covers are fitted with a long life shockcord to secure them in place, and a 13mm brass eyelet for tiedown if required.
