WHEN the Clearflow Filtertube was launched in 2000 it created a lot of interest from a broad spectrum of potential users eager to embrace a rapid, simple and inexpensive solution to the problem of suspended solids in wastewater.
Available from Spill Station Australia , the Filtertube proved a boon to Telco providers such as NDC which recognised the savings that the Filtertube could provide in both dollars and downtime and perceptively took advantage of these benefits.
Likewise the Filtertube offered benefits to the concreting industry during the removal of "fines" from washdowns.
However, the potential of the product had been stunted by the lack of a suitable method of fitting the Filtertube to the large variety of pipes, pumps and hoses used in a variety of industries.
This hurdle has now been overcome with the design of a new Filtertube adaptor kit and the manufacturer is confident a new spectrum of users, from fields such as mining, building and construction, dredging, food production and water utilities, will soon recognise the benefits of the Clearflow Filtertube to their sector of industry.
The Clearflow Filtertube adaptor kit comprises a stainless steel insert fitted with a 50mm tapered "male" BSP thread.
This allows for the fitting of a wide variety of hose and pipe ends.
The quick release clamp permits the user to disconnect, empty and reconnect the Filtertube in a matter of seconds.
