SPILL Station Australia has released drive-over bunding constructed of high-density foam encased in oil-resistant PVC. It stands 65mm high but compresses to 3mm to minimise any problems when being driven over by a loaded forklift. The bunding then springs back to its original shape after the vehicle passes.
Concrete speed-hump-style bunding can be difficult to retrofit and repairs of cracks in the concrete are often costly and ineffective. Negotiating these humps with a fully loaded forklift can also prove dangerous and are a common cause of hazardous spills.
Spill Station’s new bunding can be used on concrete, asphalt or any sealed surface. The kit comes with everything need to lay the bunding, including full instructions, aluminium reinforcing strips, concrete anchors, sealant and adhesive. After installing, the Drive-over Bunding is ready for use after 12 hours.
Drive-over bunding kits are available in 10m, 5m, and 2m metre lengths as well as 90º corners. These lengths can be easily joined together or cut to fit doorways or bunded areas.
