SIS Technologies to distribute Hohner encoders


SIS Technologies Pty Ltd (trading as Specialised Industrial Systems ) has negotiated an agreement to distribute an extensive range of quality encoders from Hohner Automazione (Italy). This extends the range of encoders the company previously distributed for Hohner UK.

Hohner Automation Ltd UK is currently developing a new series of optical encoders with wireless communication through SMS.

The encoder uses the Namfpx housing, which is already being used by the oil and gas industry all over the world. It is made of hard anodised aluminium with a stainless steel shaft and has an IP66M rating. The encoder will be ATEX certified.

Later in the development of the encoder it will incorporate a wireless web server that will be connected to the Internet through an ‘always on’ GPRS connection. This will make it possible to integrate the encoder directly into an IP infrastructure.
