TONSON Air Motors introduces a new range of gear models for cooling towers. The Cool Drive from Hyosung is a gearbox specifically designed for use in cooling towers.
A cooling tower is a type of heat exchanger designed to cool down cooling water by contacting outdoor air so that the heated cooling water can be reused in power plants or factories. Gears within the cooling towers are used to rotate the fans.
Hyosung has improved the traditional gear model to launch two products for 1st level and eight products for 2nd level that satisfy American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) and Cooling Technology Institute (CTI) standards.
Hyosung is also launching the H-Series gearboxes for the replacement market, offering compatibility with the Marley model (Amarillo A-Series). The new gearbox uses casting housing, improving product vibration and efficiency when compared to previous models, and helping to reduce the total cost of ownership for customers.
