Spacepac Industries range of fixed steel bollards is designed for traffic control and property protection. Manufactured from heavy wall mild steel tube, these bollards are able to take the knocks.

Spacepac Industries bollards are available in either surface mount or in-ground models, with or without chain rings. The surface mount models have heavy fully welded base plates while in-ground models are complete with welded concrete starter bars.

Existing in both round and square designs, the fixed steel bollards come in a wide range of sizes to suit the venue. Smaller bollards are about 64mm in width while the larger posts are 220mm.

Above ground height of the bollards are between 900mm to 1300mm. In-ground bollards are secured from 300mm to 650mm in the earth with alternating anchoring bars.

Fixed bollards in safety yellow powder coat (other colours on request) are specially designed with a reflective band around top so as to enhance visibility at night, preventing drivers from knocking the curb or getting too close to pavement.

Stainless steel fixed bollards are available in standard grade 304 for many architectural and landscape applications, or grade 316 where specified for harsh coastal or contaminated environments. Stainless products are usually polished to a No. 4 linish finish using abrasive belts.

Alternatively for coastal installations, electropolishing is recommended. This is an electrochemical process which simultaneously smoothens, levels and brightens the surface of the stainless steel. This process minimises the risk of tea staining and ensures a high quality finish is maintained over many years.

Several developers who have upgraded from the traditional wooden ones to the stainless steel bollards have received lesser complain from drivers hitting the curb or damaging their vehicles due to the low and worn out bollards. New steel bollards have also added a more appealing look in marking out the parking area.
