The type of mat installed in entrances to public buildings varies according to the type of traffic, the use of the building, the environment in which the building is situated and many other factors.
Traffic frequency can vary from hundreds to many thousands of feet a day, abrasive dirt may be walked in, and wet weather may cause problems. The heavier the traffic, the better the quality of entrance mat installed. But with mat fibre weight varying from 18oz to 59oz per sq yard and mat backing varying as well, decision making, in the face of these variables, can be difficult. Expert advice is the way to choose the right mat.
The team at Spacepac Industries is introducing a range of entrance mats for high traffic. Used in every entrance that takes a real beating from heavy traffic, like shopping centres, public buildings, office blocks, banks, hospitals and airports.
Tire Track – Rolls edged long side only – Charcoal, Bronze
With a 10mm thickness and a unique, attractive Tire Track design, it is wonderful in wet weather, as it is able to hold 4L of water per sq metre, yet dries out quickly due to the synthetic polypropylene fibre. The tire track mat is enhanced with a heavy duty vinyl backing that can increase useful life and simultaneously stop mat distortion. The mat easily rolls up, if removal is required after wet weather.
The hydrasorb and strip are 2m in width, while the tire track is 1.8m. Spacepac offers the mat in a roll or cut to length. For special sizes, Spacepac has made-to-measure for the user.
