Sony Australia has introduced new additions to its business oriented projectors portfolio, the VPL-FE40 and VPL-FX40, featuring Sony’s revolutionary BrightEra LCD panel technology, which has been incorporated into projectors for the first time.
The VPL-FE40 and VPL-FX40 promise improved panel durability, increased brightness of up to
4000 ANSI lumens, higher contrast and overall image quality.
Businesses can also expect advanced network capabilities when using the VPL-FE40 and VPL-FX40, ensuring they can carry out presentations on a global level. Through efficient compression and fast transmission of images, presentations can be conducted anywhere over a network from any networked PC.
Up to five projectors can be linked and each projector can be placed in a different location and receive presentations from one or multiple PCs on the same network.
For many organisations the ability to communicate simultaneously across multiple locations is a real problem. With the introduction of the VPL-FE40 and VPL-FX40, organisations can easily share information with outstanding precision and clarity, both locally and globally.
Web browser control is also available, enabling command of a number of the projectors’ functions over a network, where they can be set-up to send automatic email reports for scheduled maintenance such as lamp replacement.
For large-scale applications such as presentations within museums or auditoriums where twice the normal light output may be required, the VPL-FE40 and VPL-FX40 projectors can be twinstacked.
Images from both projectors are then matched using the picture shift function of each unit. Sony displays technical strength with new business projectors.
The VPL-FE40 and VPL-FX40 also boast a rich array of interfaces, including 5BNC for long distance transmission from professional video equipment and an HDCP-enabled HDMI interface for uncompressed high definition video and eight-channel audio in all formats ensuring the requirements of any commercial environment are accommodated.
The VPL-FE40 delivers exceptional clarity in superior native SXGA+ resolution and the VPL-FX40 in native XGA resolution. Both are shipped standard with a 1.3 times zoom lens incorporating power zoom and focus as well as horizontal and vertical lens shift.
For added installation flexibility, both models are also available without a lens (VPL-FE40L and VPL-FX40L) and can be combined with any one of three optional lenses to cover short, medium or long-throw distances.
Maintenance is simple with lamp and filter replacement from the side and front of the VPL-FE40 and VPL-FX40 projectors respectively, enabling this task to be performed without removing the projector from its mounting location.
