Solidtec Solutions and Hi-Tech Metrology have announced a newly formed partnership aimed at providing the Australasian design and reverse engineering market with access to the latest integrated industry leading technology.
It was at Innovative 2010, the Innovation and Technology Showcase held as part of the Austech and National Manufacturing Week trade show in Sydney, that Solidtec Solutions and Hi-Tech Metrology recently collaborated to show case integration between industry leading reverse engineering and scanning technology and SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
Australian and New Zealand SolidWorks experts, Solidtec Solutions work with hundreds of companies to ensure the most is being received from a SolidWorks 3D CAD investment, and while they offer training and technical support, it is in the area of integration with other manufacturing systems that Solidtec adds the most value. Reverse engineering is one such area where Solidtec Solutions offers additional expertise to make all the difference.
“Hi-Tech are the people to speak to for reverse engineering and inspection in Australia and New Zealand,” says Solidtec Solutions CEO, Scott Frayne.
“The technology Hi-Tech offers compliments SolidWorks perfectly, being able to scan components straight into SolidWorks and create a 3D model for use as part of the design and manufacturing process eliminates much of the inefficiencies of traditional methods for reverse engineering," adds Frayne.
“Hi-Tech Metrology is focused on providing the best reverse engineering and 3D digitising solutions from around the world - including the innovative ZScanner range of hand-held 3D laser scanners,” adds Hi-Tech General Manager, David Eldridge.
“By working together with the team from Solidtec around Australia we can offer clients a seamless workflow for scanning, data processing and 3D solid modelling that improves efficiency and leverages the benefits from the latest 3D data capture technologies. Many of our clients are overawed with the technology that is available today but in the end don’t realise its full potential because their CAD system lets them down. With SolidWorks however and the use of the advanced 3D scanning technologies that are available today, our clients can now gain a competitive advantage, reduce their development costs and be first to market," says Eldridge.
The Solidtec Alliance Program brings aligned businesses together to provide value-add services for Australasian design and manufacturing organisations. Solidtec Solutions works with its Alliance Partners to promote technology adoption as a method of achieving and maintaining a competitive advantage.
