Solidtec Solutions introduces the SolidWorks Education Edition 2011-2012, which offers combined tools for simulation, sustainable design and motion that is specifically catered for the education sector. The SolidWorks Education Edition, manufactured by DS SolidWorks, is designed to provide both students and educators a robust classroom experience.
Students in more than 24,000 secondary schools and universities, worldwide, have utilised the SolidWorks Education Edition as part of their curriculum. The 3D CAD design software is available in 14 languages and offers students with access to their designs outside of the classroom through the SolidWorks Student Access Initiative.
“Training the next generation of engineers and designers is critical to the success of the industry, as it relies on innovation and evolution,” says Marie Planchard, Director of World Education Markets, DS SolidWorks.
“Students are very hands on, and giving them access to design tools when and where they choose ensures that the creative flow isn’t hampered by lack of access. We’re proud to partner with educators worldwide to enable students at every level to grow into design engineers with bright futures ahead.”
The SolidWorks Education Edition also provides students with free access to the Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) exams, which validates their skills and expertise in the 3D CAD design software. The certification can help students increase their professional skills through advanced certification exams, and be used as an immediate asset in searching for employment.
