According to University of NSW Emeritus Professor of Physics, conventional heat insulating materials tend to delay the ingress of heat whereas Insultec also provides continuous rejection of heat.

In fact, Insultec’s level of rejection is so great, only 1% of solar heat is absorbed through the membrane.

And Professor is not alone in his findings. Perth based consultant, Dr R Cammarano, reports that the results (reductions of up to 150 C) suggest that Insultec may be more effective than conventional insulation such as fibreglass batts to minimise internal air temperatures. While the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, reported impressive variations of up to 210 C.

Insultec provides a defined payback period

MPN Timar Martin, Brisbane based air conditioning engineers, conducted their own research into the cost savings between fibreglass batts, pink batts and Insultec.

Insultec achieved savings on air conditioning costs of $5.16 per square metre, whereas metal roofs insulated with fibreglass or pink batts were estimated to save only $1.12 per square metre.

If unsurpassed performance and outstanding savings are not enough, Insultec roof insulation is maintenance-free up to 15 years, providing another significant point of difference to internal insulation.
