VISHAY, represented in Australia by Soanar , has released the White Power SMD LED. The devices have been designed to meet the increasing demand for surface mounting technology.

The package of the TLMW3300 is the PLCC-2. It consists of a lead frame embedded in a white thermoplast. The reflector inside the package is filled with clear epoxy.

It is compatible with automatic placement equipment and is available in 8mm tape reel. It operates from -40°C to 100°C.

Applications include backlit keypads, thinner portable devices, and as an indicator and backlight for audio and video equipment, battery-driven equipment, and office equipment.

It can also be used for a flat backlight for LCDs, switches and symbols and in consumer appliances, medical instruments and as an alternative to incandescent lamps.
