SynQor, represented in ANZ by Soanar, has released PQ60280FTx26 series of Isolated Full Brick DC/DC converters, targeting RF Power Amplifier (RFPA) applications within cellular radio infrastructure equipment.
In this demanding area, efficiency and reliability are key attributes in which the SynQor module excels, with more than 94% efficiency at full load, and a calculated MTBF of more than 2Mhrs (Telcordia).
Packaged in the industry standard Full Brick footprint and pinout, the PQ60280FTx26 converts a 36-75V input to a 28V output, and offers up to 26A of output current.
The wide output trim range of -50% to +15% offers flexibility to adapt the unit for differing RFPA technologies and applications.
PQ60280FTx26 device is available as an open frame unit for convection cooled applications, or baseplated for cold-plate/heatsink mounting, which can be ordered with threaded or non-threaded mounting holes.
Standard features available on all models include Remote On/Off, Power Good, Remote Sense and Current Share.
Optional on the Full Featured version of the device are Synchronisation Input and Output pins, to allow modules to be synchronised either to an external clock or to each other in a multiple module configuration.
The PQ60280FTx26 is capable of withstanding transients on the input to 100V for 100ms, and has a basic isolation level from input to output of 2250Vdc.
Protection features include input under-voltage lockout, output over voltage protection, current limit, short circuit protection, and thermal shutdown. Operating temperature range is -40 to +100°C.
