RovingNetworks, represented by Soanar Electronic Component & Supply Chain Solutions, have introduced RN25 bluetooth radio with auto-connect and connect on RX data features, enabling the product to transfer data up to 100M.
The RN25 bluetooth radio accepts a range of unregulated DC power. The DIP packaging with GPIO, UART interfaces and AD converter makes it a suitable prototyping/ production module and allows products to have optional Bluetooth capability when the module is plugged in.
The RN25 bluetooth radio has the following features:
- Bluetooth version 2.0 compliant (also compatible with 1.21.1)
- Embedded stacks support serial port profile and no host or processor stacks required
- Simple ACSII command interface, over local UART and remote from any Bluetooth client
- Master and slave modes, auto connect mode, connect on RX data (trigger) modes
- “Instant” cable replacement feature for creating quick wireless links
- Accepts a range of DC power input, 3.3VDC or 4Vdc to 24Vdc
- Serial port signals on both TTL and RS-485 levels
- UART baud rate speeds: 1200bps up to 921.6Kbps
- Sustained data rates of 240 to 300 kbps
- Status LEDs
- 330ft standard range class1, or longer depending on antenna selection
- Low power consumption (40mA connected, <10mA idle mode)
- Small-form factor 24 Pin DIP radio modem package (0.1” pitch X 0.9” socket width)
Optional applications include:
- Nine general purpose input/output pins (4ma source/sink) controlled through remote commands
- Two channel eight Bit AD converter (5Hz, 0 to 1.8VDC)
- RS-485 with auto-direction control supported
