Redesigned Compact PCI range

SCHROFF’S new range of CompactPCI systems, which are available from Soanar , are far more versatile than the previous range.

Schroff’s redesigned CompactPCI range

They are designed as kits and offer users a high degree of flexibility and an optimal price/performance ratio. Modifications and customer specific requirements can be realised without any problem. Configuration software, which can be accessed free of charge via the internet, guides the user quickly and comfortably through the options.

The standard range consists of 1U, 3U, 4U, 5U and 6U subracks, equipped with CompactPCI backplanes to PICMG 2.0 (Rev. 3.0) and 300W ATX power supply with Power Factor Correction (PFC).

All systems are prepared for the insertion of CD-ROM and/or floppy drives. With regard to the power supply, the user also has the choice between 250W, 300W and 400W units, all of which have the same dimensions and can therefore be adjusted to individual requirements. The voltage range from 90V to 264V enables worldwide operation.

Schroff paid special attention to the redesign of the system cooling. All standard systems were tested with Flotherm simulation software during their development, and the results verified in practice. In general Schroff have distanced themselves from fixed fan inserts with this redesign, and have replaced these with a service friendly, hot-swap-capable fan drawer with fans that are speed controlled.
