The new ultra-white Oslon SSL LED from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors measures 3 x 3mm and has a value of 100lm/W. Its properties provide the basis for high application efficiency as a result of high efficacies at high currents, simplified thermal management, reliability and a beam angle of 80°. The Oslon SSL LED, available from Soanar - Electronic Component & Supply Chain Solutions , provides light that is suitable for spotlights, desk lights and ceiling floodlights.
The new Oslon SSL LED is an LED in the 1 W class and meets the requirements for use in general lighting. It is small and efficient at high currents and as a result of its beam angle of 80,° it is suitable for injecting light into external lenses. According to OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, the Oslon SSL LED’s ability to handle high currents efficiently enables their customers to create particularly energy-efficient and cost-saving lighting solutions. The Oslon SSL LED’s low thermal resistance of 7K/W simplifies thermal management. Its small size gives designers the flexibility to create sophisticated solutions. If particularly strong light is needed, several light sources can be combined in a cluster. In addition to ultra-white (5700 to 6500K), the LED is available in neutral white and warm white. Its colour temperature ranges from 2700 to 4500K.
The Oslon SSL LED is manufactured using the new chip technology, ensuring a high luminous efficacy. At an operating current of 350mA, this light source achieves a brightness of 110lm in ultra-white (5700 and 6500K), with a maximum possible luminous flux of 130lm at present. At an operating current of 350mA and a colour temperature of 3000K, the Oslon SSL LED achieves an efficiency of 75lm/W and a brightness of 85lm. Its brightness is 155lm at an operating current of 700mA (warm white). The Oslon SSL LED is suitable for applications that demand high lighting levels and can be completed with fewer LEDs.
The new Oslon SSL LED can be used as a replacement for halogen lamp in spotlights, desk lights and reading lights and can also be used in retrofit applications.
