Vishay, represented by Soanar in Australia and New Zealand, have released a winged, low profile, high-current inductor in the 4040 case size. Designed to be placed on a cut-out PCB, the IHLW-4040CF-11 offers designers a high-current solution using a larger part, without exceeding a profile of 1.2mm on either side of the PC board. With inductance range from 0.10µH to 2.2µH and low typical DCR down to 0.64mΩ, the inductor also offers saturation current up to 48A and operates up to 125°C.
The IHLW-4040CF-11 is RoHS compliant and is suitable for applications including voltage regulator modules and DC-DC converters in end products including next-generation mobile devices, notebooks, desktop computers, servers, graphic cards, portable gaming devices, personal navigation systems, personal multimedia devices, automotive systems, low-profile, high-current power supplies, point of load converters, distributed power systems and field-programmable gate arrays.
