Smithweld to showcase semi-automated and fully-automated welding processes at National Manufacturing Week 2009

Smithweld  will showcase a range of semi-automated and fully-automated welding processes and associated machinery in Australia on Stand 3920 in the Weldtech Pavilion during National Manufacturing Week at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. Headlining Smithweld’s National Manufacturing Week stand will be its 3m by 3m welding boom, which is fitted out with Lincoln Electric fully automatic Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) system.

Smithweld will use National Manufacturing Week 2009 to stimulate confidence in the ability of Australian companies to produce first-class products locally.

Smithweld will show the following welding processes:

  • New range of pipe and vessel rotators covering pipe diameters from 50mm to 2.5m
  • Weld positioners of 1 and 3 tonnes capacity
  • SAW flux recovery systems
  • Industrial welding ovens
  • Complementary accessories including foot controls, remote hand pendants, an automatic arc sensor, 110/240V SAW laser aligning lights and quick-release pipe chucks
